We are looking for an experienced all-rounder to join our team of ex-journalists and communications specialists working across a diverse portfolio of loyal clients.
This is a role for a natural storyteller who understands what makes news and works comfortably across earned media, content and social to bring stories to life.
About the role
As Senior PR Consultant, you will work on a portfolio of retainer clients, leading strategy, content and campaign delivery from brief to result. You will be a trusted adviser to clients and a valued contributor to our tight-knit, talented team.
Key responsibilities include:
* Develop story ideas, media angles and content opportunities for clients
* Write media releases, website news, testimonials, newsletters, magazine articles and social media posts
* Pitch stories to journalists and secure earned media coverage across print, digital and broadcast
* Provide strategic communications advice and support to clients
* Repurpose stories and content across multiple channels
* Attend client meetings, conduct interviews and manage photography and video
* Build strong relationships with clients, media and key stakeholders
* Manage multiple projects and deadlines while maintaining high standards of quality and accuracy
About you
* At least seven years' experience in public relations, communications or journalism
* Excellent writing, editing, proofreading and interviewing skills
* Strong news judgment and the ability to identify compelling story opportunities
* Experience pitching stories and dealing directly with media
* Experience creating content for websites and social media platforms
* Excellent organisational and time management skills
* Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
* Professional, proactive and confident working with clients
* Previous agency experience would be advantageous
* Previous journalism experience would be highly regarded
