Opportunity
Your New Company/Role: As one of the leading and renowned organizations, my client is looking for an experienced Accounts Payable Officer to join their team due to remarkable growth. This is a permanent full time role and with one day work from home once up to speed.
Responsibilities
* Oversee Accounts Payable function
* Ensure efficient input and management of the Creditors Docusmart system
* Processing and payment of supplier invoices, including reconciling to Supplier's statement in a timely and professional manner
* Ensure supplier invoices are processed and paid in compliance to company policies.
* Follow up on supplier queries
* Maintain an audit trail of changes to the supplier file and ensure exceptions reports are produced for these changes for review by authorized Managers
* Prepare reports to assist the Accounting Team for review and analysis of overhead spend to budget and forecasts as required
* Assist the Finance Manager with account reconciliations (on a monthly and quarterly basis for select reconciliations as specified by the Finance Manager)
* Provide assistance where required for deal costing
* Maintain an efficient filing and data recovery system
* Identify opportunities for improved accounting processes
* Ensure all till floats and petty cash tins are reconciled and counted monthly - any discrepancies are to be reported to management
* Ad-hoc administration tasks as required
Ideal Profile
* Diploma / Degree in Accounting & Finance or equivalent work experience
* 2 years or more related accounts payable experience
* Experience in automotive is highly desirable
* Ability to manage high volume payable transactions processing
* Intermediate Excel knowledge
* Excellent problem solving skills
* Great verbal and written skills
* Experience with large ERP systems
