Job Duties:
* Autonomous teaching (organization, management, and actual teaching) of or participation in courses at the institute, particularly, in the subjects of product development, computer-aided design and calculation (CAD, FEM), computer-aided manufacturing (CAD-CAM), fundamentals of mechanical engineering and machine dynamics
* Participation in the development of new courses for the degree programs in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, Sustainable Polymer Engineering & Circular Economy, and Medical Engineering
* Supervision/guidance of students in seminar/project work
* Research: Theoretical and experimental work in the field of product development, computer-aided design and manufacturing, or machine dynamics; participation in (funded) cooperative research projects
* Supervision and advancement of experimental setups available at the institute and transfer of research results into teaching
* Publication activities, participation in scientific events
* Assumption of organizational and administrative tasks at the institute
Your Qualifications:
* The successful candidate must hold a completed doctoral or master’s degree in mechanical engineering, mechatronics, or equivalent education
* Experience in teaching courses in university bachelor's, master's and doctoral programs
* Knowledge and experience in CAx technologies (CAD, CAM, FEM, MKS, simulation of dynamic systems, etc.) and model-based mechatronic product development
* Particular interest and experience in computer-aided methods (CAD, CAM, FEM, MKS, simulation of dynamic systems, etc.) with respect to the development of mechatronic systems (products)
* Very good written and spoken German and English skills (both level C1)
* Communicative and open minded manner, teamwork skills
What We Offer:
* On the basis of full-time employment (40 hours/week) the minimum salary in accordance with the collective agreement is € 3,776.10 gross per month as a Senior Lecturer holding a Diploma/Master’s degree and € 5,014.30 gross per month as a Senior Lecturer holding a Doctorate/Ph.D. degree (14 x per year, CA Job Grade: B1)
