Responsibilities
* Select, approve and develop suppliers in line with PALFINGER standards in close cooperation with Procurement, including process capability assessments and quality assurance agreements
* Define, coordinate and monitor quality requirements, inspection plans and systematic process improvements at suppliers, including on-site visits and audits according to EN ISO 9001
* Support prototype, pre-series and initial sample processes, including planning, coordination and evaluation together with R&D, Engineering and internal stakeholders
* Lead and coordinate complaint and warranty handling with external suppliers, analyse root causes, define corrective actions and drive sustainable reduction of quality costs
* Monitor and report key quality KPIs for supplied parts (complaint rate, refund rate, audit rate, etc.) and initiate targeted improvement programs with suppliers
Qualifications
* Technical education in mechanical or electrical engineering (e.g. HTL, technical college, master craftsman) or comparable qualification
* Several years of professional experience in quality management/quality assurance, ideally in the metalworking industry and in collaboration with suppliers
* Sound knowledge of QM methods and tools (e.g. APQP, 8D, 5Why, Ishikawa) and advantageously training as quality system manager and/or lead auditor
* Very good English skills in spoken and written form; confident use of SAP and MS Office as well as strong intercultural and communication skills
* High assertiveness and willingness to travel up to approx. 50% (primarily within Europe, occasional worldwide trips)

Minimum yearly gross salary according to the Austrian metal industry collective agreement is EUR 53,241.02 based on full-time employment. According to experience and qualifications, we offer market-conform overpayment.
