Construction Manager (f/m/d) for Industrial Facilities Austria (Linz area)

About the Role
Focus on hands‑on project execution and site management, strategic project planning and risk mitigation, and comprehensive stakeholder communication and coordination, ensuring end‑to‑end control from initial planning through to final delivery.
Responsibilities
* On‑Site Construction Management & Execution
o Lead and manage all on‑site activities for major industrial construction projects, ensuring alignment with project timelines and budgets.
o Oversee contractors and execution teams to guarantee compliance with Siemens Energy's quality standards, sustainability guidelines, and safety protocols.
o Monitor project progress, conduct site inspections, and resolve on‑site issues to maintain project momentum and quality.
o Ensure all construction activities adhere to local Austrian legal and operational requirements.
* Define project scope, establish strategic execution plans, and oversee the entire project lifecycle from design and tendering to contractor selection.
* Proactively identify, assess, and manage project risks (financial, schedule, quality) to prevent delays and cost overruns.
* Develop and maintain detailed project documentation, including schedules, budgets, and progress reports.
* Support sustainability initiatives by integrating energy efficiency measures and pursuing green building certifications.
* Stakeholder Management & Digitalization
o Serve as the primary point of contact, facilitating collaboration between internal teams, external consultants, contractors, and local authorities.
o Manage communication with all project stakeholders, providing regular updates and ensuring alignment on project goals and milestones.
o Partner with the Digital Acceleration team to implement and optimize digital project management tools and processes.
o Coach and review the work of lower‑level professionals or team members involved in the project.
Qualifications
* Master’s degree or equivalent in Construction Engineering, Civil Engineering, MEP Engineering, Architecture, or related field.
* 3‑5 years of professional experience managing construction projects for industrial facilities, preferably in an international context.
* Specialized expertise in construction management for industrial facilities.
* Proven experience in managing large projects, strong stakeholder communication, and proactive problem‑solving.
* Certifications: Project Management Professional (PMP) or International Project Management Association (IPMA).
* Very good communication and leadership skills.
* Advanced / native level knowledge of English and German.
