Job Description:
Our client, located in the Ried im Innkreis area (Upper Austria), is a highly stable Austrian company specializing in industrial plant engineering. With strong growth and an international focus, the company develops and implements advanced safety solutions for large-scale industrial plants across various industries. We are seeking an experienced engineer in fire and explosion protection, with a background in mechanical/plant engineering, electrical engineering, or process engineering, eager to contribute to the company's success both in Austria and internationally.
Responsibilities:
1. Design and plan fire detection, fire suppression, and explosion protection systems for large-scale industrial plants.
2. Provide consulting and training to customers on fire and explosion protection topics.
3. Manage projects independently throughout their lifecycle—from planning and approval to commissioning.
4. Maintain fire protection systems at customer sites.
5. Ensure customer systems comply with the latest technological and regulatory standards.
6. Travel internationally (Europe, USA, and occasionally Asia) to implement projects onsite.
7. Potentially establish a dedicated fire and explosion protection department in the medium term.
8. Report directly to senior management.
Qualifications:
1. Degree or HTL qualification in mechanical engineering, plant engineering, process engineering, or electrical engineering.
2. Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in planning and project management.
3. Advantageous: Certification as a fire protection officer and experience with fire protection systems.
4. Proficiency in MS Office, AutoCAD, SpriCAD, and Inventor.
5. Certification and qualification as a specialist according to VdS 2132.
6. Experience with explosion protection concepts, ATEX, and VEXAT is a plus.
7. Excellent English skills; German language skills are desirable.
8. Independent, solution-oriented, proactive, and responsible working style.
9. High willingness for international travel, focusing on Europe and the USA.
