You will be a player-coach to a small team in a fast-paced, start-up environment, fostering collaboration across diverse sectors to drive growth and expand our market presence.What will you be doing?Identifying and pursuing new business opportunities across utilitiesDeveloping and executing a comprehensive business development strategy to achieve revenue targets and market penetration goalsNegotiating contracts and agreements aligning with our business objectivesBuilding relationships with key partners, stakeholders and industry SMEs to collaborate and drive successBuilding a robust sales pipeline, prioritising for maximum impactCoach team members to develop a high performance team, fostering a culture of accountability and innovation; setting clear performance expectations and providing regular feedbackPreparing and delivering high quality presentations, engaging pitches and scoping meetings with prospecting clients as you articulate the value of our SaaS solutionsPrepare and present regular reports to the executive team, providing insights into business development activities, market trends, and performance metrics.There will be travel in this role - up to 50%What are we looking for?Proven experience in a senior sales position, preferably within a start-up environmentStrong knowledge within SaaS sales, and ideally experience selling to utilitiesAbility to think strategically with a track record of successfully identifying and closing new business, ideally with enterprise clientsAbility to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, managing multiple priorities effectivelyExcellent analytical skills with a data-driven approach to decision makingExcellent written communication and presentation skillsProactivity - you will continually push for more and suggest and implement processes and ways of working to be betterAlignment to the vision, mission, and values of ev.energyHow will we support you?Work remotely and work well - we'll provide the tools you need to do your best (including a Macbook Pro), as well as access to co-working spacesAccess to conferences, meet-ups and training through our L&D allowanceA structured career progression framework and advancement opportunitiesDepending on location - health insurance, 401(k) or pension, paid parental leave, life insurance25 days holiday plus public holidaysAnnual team gatherings - in previous years the whole company has spent a week together in the UK100% charity matching to help spread good!If you don’t have all of the requirements, but you’re really interested in what we’re doing - please apply anyway!
