For one of our big pharma clients, we are recruiting a Head of Production, member of the site leadership team (Large site located near Graz, Austria).
This global Pharma Manufacturing site experiencing a Transformation of the company with a heavy focus on performance breakthrough to produce more volumes at flat COGS.
Role
As a member of the Site Leadership team, the Head of Production is actively shaping the future development as a “Leadership with Impact”.
In this senior leadership position, you will assume overall responsibility for Production.
You will lead the organization both strategically and operationally, ensure full regulatory compliance, and play a key role in securing reliable market supply.
Leadership & Organization
* Overall responsibility for the Formulation & Filling production unit, including personnel and budget accountability
* Disciplinary and technical leadership, development, and qualification of employees in line with defined training matrices( > 300 employees)
* Lean Leadership strong demonstration and track record of turning around a culture towards higher performance
* Active contribution to site strategy as a member of the Plant Leadership Team
Production & Quality
* Ensure proper manufacturing and interim storage of sterile pharmaceutical products in compliance with GMP/cGMP and international regulations
* Responsibility for validation, qualification, and qualification status of production equipment and systems
* Approval of production-related specifications and relevant sections of batch documentation
Compliance & Regulatory Affairs
* Function as Head of Manufacturing according to AMG §69a
* Preparation for and leadership during customer audits and inspections by national and international authorities
* Ensure compliance with all applicable legal, regulatory, and internal requirements
Cost, Efficiency & Supply
* Control and monitoring of production costs, including budget, forecast, and investments
* Continuous optimization of production processesto improve efficiency and performance
* Safeguard market supply, including proactive risk management
Projects & Continuous Improvement
* Lead andparticipatein projects for the implementation of new products, systems, and technologies
* Drives Lean Transformation in his units and challenges the teams continuously
* Support theSite Headinmaintainingand continuously improving integrated management systems
Candidate
* University degree in a scientific or technical discipline
* At least 5 years of leadership experience in pharmaceutical senior production role
* In-depth knowledge of aseptic/sterile fill & finish manufacturing, cGMP, AMBO, and international regulatory requirements
* Proven experience in qualification, validation, and regulatory inspections
* Strong leadership and communication skills
* High level of process and quality orientation with a structured working style
* Operational excellence driven and mindset
* Assertiveness, strategic mindset, and strong sense of responsibility
* Fluent in German and English
