We are looking for a Category Manager to oversee our product categories in the Danish online shop. The role focuses on driving topline growth and improving bottom-line performance through category steering, campaign and promotion planning, pricing and onsite optimization.
Key Responsibilities
Strategy and Sales Steering
* Contribute to the development of category strategies and translate them into actionable plans.
* Collaborate with central teams (vendor management, marketing, CRM, etc.) to ensure seamless execution of strategies.
* Analyze input and output KPIs at category, sub‑category and product level; derive insights to inform decision‑making and actions aligned with business goals.
* Actively manage and grow sales of our portfolio with a strong focus on own brands, driving acquisition, migration and retention initiatives.
Pricing
* Monitor pricing dynamics of key products and bestsellers.
* Recommend local price adjustments in alignment with the central pricing team.
Campaigns and Promotions
* Develop and execute campaign and promotion plans in close collaboration with central teams.
* Ensure accurate campaign setup in collaboration with central teams, including marketing support, banner creation and landing page setup.
* Monitor campaign performance, track cost vs. budget and optimise promotional impact.
Shelf Management
* Ensure optimal presentation of campaigns and products across the online store.
* Provide input on search optimisation, upselling, cross‑selling and product recommendation features.
* Work closely with shop operations on banner management, shelf arrangement and content optimisation.
Qualifications
* Relevant experience in FMCG and e‑commerce, ideally within the pet sector.
* Native‑level Danish and strong proficiency in English.
* Analytical and data‑driven mindset with strong commercial acumen.
* Broad understanding of core business functions and how they interconnect.
* Strong collaboration and communication skills with proven ability to influence stakeholders.
* Deep knowledge of local customer needs and market dynamics.
* Hands‑on, results‑oriented and proactive approach.
This role will ideally be covered in London, Krakow and Munich.
The gross annual salary for this position (38.5 hours / week) is a minimum 44 450 EUR. Depending on your qualification and experience we are willing to overpay.
