Position details:
* Part-time, 30 hours/week
* Starting October 01, 2025, with a duration of 5 years
Would you like to study a topic in organizational control and incentive systems in depth as part of a dissertation? Join a team dedicated to excellence in research and teaching, and contribute to this field in an open and appreciative environment.
What to expect
* Writing a dissertation: Investigate your research topic and dedicate one-third of your working hours to dissertation writing.
* Develop scientific working methods: Initially, assist experienced researchers with publications; later, publish conference papers and journal articles. Our team will introduce you to empirical-quantitative methods, working with different researchers depending on your topic.
* Gain teaching experience: Be integrated into teaching activities from the start, including project courses with partner companies, primarily in English.
* Work in a team: Collaborate with around 15 academic staff, with networking opportunities through workshops and seminars with international researchers.
* Connect with the global scientific community: Present research at major conferences and possibly undertake research stays abroad.
* Team development: Participate in research projects, publications, and events to deepen your expertise and foster professional growth.
* Organizational tasks: Assist in organizing courses, maintaining student community, and supporting research projects.
Candidate requirements
* Academic degree: Master’s or diploma qualifying for doctoral studies at WU.
* Knowledge: Expertise in financial management, governance, organizational and HR management, strategic management, or microeconomics; experience in scientific research is advantageous.
* Languages: Fluent in German and English.
* Teaching methods: Willing to use multimedia formats.
* IT skills: Proficiency in MS Office; experience with Stata, Python, R, or survey software is a plus.
* Commitment: Self-motivated, independent, and proactive.

Minimum gross salary: €2,786.10/month (14 payments), subject to adjustment based on experience. Additional social benefits are available.
