As a Data & AI Project Leader, you will bridge strategy and execution. You will lead multidisciplinary teams delivering modern data platforms and AI-powered products while working closely with clients and internal experts to translate ideas into scalable, production-grade solutions.
You will combine technical leadership, project delivery, and client collaboration to drive successful data and AI initiatives from concept to operation.
Your daily tasks will include
* Lead end-to-end delivery of Data & AI projects. Guide projects from discovery and solution design through implementation and production rollout, ensuring quality, reliability, and business impact.
* Bridge business goals with technical solutions. Work with clients and internal teams to translate business requirements into scalable data architectures and AI-driven capabilities.
* Coordinate multidisciplinary teams. Lead collaboration between data engineers, AI engineers, software engineers, and data scientists to deliver cohesive solutions.
* Shape the technical direction of projects. Contribute to architecture decisions across data platforms, analytics environments, and AI/ML systems.
* Drive project planning and delivery excellence. Manage scope, priorities, timelines, and risks while ensuring alignment with stakeholder expectations.
* Enable scalable data and AI capabilities. Support the design and implementation of modern data platforms, ML pipelines, and AI services deployed in cloud environments.
* Contribute to pre-sales and solution design. Participate in discovery workshops, technical scoping, and proposal development for new Data & AI initiatives.
What will make you succeed in this role
* Experience leading Data or AI projects. 5+ years working with data platforms, analytics solutions, or AI/ML systems, including experience coordinating teams or project delivery.
* Strong understanding of modern data architectures. Knowledge of data platforms, pipelines, lakehouse/warehouse architectures, and data governance principles.
* Familiarity with AI/ML ecosystems. Understanding of ML workflows, model lifecycle management, and modern AI capabilities such as LLMs, RAG systems, or AI agents.
* Cloud and platform experience. Hands-on exposure to cloud environments (Azure, AWS, or GCP) and data/AI technologies such as Databricks, MLflow, Airflow, or similar ecosystems.
* Delivery and stakeholder management skills. Ability to coordinate complex initiatives, manage priorities, and communicate effectively with both technical and business stakeholders.
* Fluent English. Additional languages (such as German) are a plus.

Austria: The law stipulates that the minimum wage must be specified in job postings. The minimum salary is €62.664 gross/year in the collective agreement. Adequate to your skills, we are willing to pay much more.
