Overview
Join CAE as a Synthetic Flight & Ground School Instructor-EN at our Vienna (Schwechat) Training Centre. You’ll contribute to the global Business Aviation Training team and support the initial operations of a new centre with state-of-the-art Full Flight Simulators.
Role and Responsibilities
* Assure the quality delivery of client training according to qualification, including classroom systems and performance ground school and in-simulator pilot training
* Monitor and assure compliance to all authorizations and qualifications
* Strive to increase Instructor qualifications, as required by the program
* Conduct quality pre- and post-flight briefings
* Suggest changes to curriculum and courseware materials to enhance the clients’ experience
* Assist the Lead with duties, when requested
* Ensure all paperwork/electronic records are completed accurately and in a timely manner
* Occasionally provide seat support for single clients as required
* Deliver portions of initial and recurrent ground school
* Other duties as assigned by the Training Manager
Ideal Candidate
* Synthetic Flight Instructors
* High-performance aircraft and instructional experience
* Skilled in mentoring and developing industry colleagues
Qualifications
* EASA licence required
* 500 single pilot hours required
* Previous instructional experience is ideal but not required (CFI, SFI or SFE)
* Must read, speak, and converse in English at a high level
* Keen eye for detail in training delivery; willing to maintain accurate and timely records in accordance with CAE policy
* Ability to tailor training sessions to diverse customer needs
* Basic computer proficiency – Microsoft Office and other internet-based programs
* Flexibility to commit to a full-time work pattern
* Must live in commutable distance to the Training Centre in Schwechat
* Right to live and work in Austria is desirable
* Prepared to spend a period of time outside Austria to undertake initial type and SFI ratings
* Excellent interpersonal skills
* Continuously drives toward process improvement and customer satisfaction
* Ability to work in a fast-paced 24/7 environment
* Adapts readily to change and maintains customer orientation
Location
The role will be based at the Training Centre in Vienna; full-time, on-site position.
Please note: a training bond may apply to this position. The level of bond is determined by previous experience and ratings; further details will be shared at interview.
