For our client, an international company based in Baden & Zurich, we are looking for a motivated and proactive Corporate Procurement Intern (m/f/d).
General Information
* Start: June (Flexible dates based on academic schedule)
* Duration: Full-time internship for the summer period, with a potential hourly extension option during the academic year based on performance.
* Workplace: Zurich (HQ) / Baden
* Workload: 80–100%
* Remote/Home Office: Hybrid – mainly remote, with presence in the Zurich office 1–2 times per week.
Tasks & Responsibilities
* Procurement Support & Learning: Assist in the development and implementation of Corporate Procurement strategies under the guidance of senior experts.
* Sourcing Activities: Support sourcing processes for Indirect Spend Categories and participate in eRfX (Request for X) workflows.
* Stakeholder Engagement: Interact with internal stakeholders across the organization to understand supplier relationship management and corporate dynamics.
* Project Contribution: Assist in the execution of procurement initiatives related to Risk Management, Sustainability, and Supply Base Management.
* Process Excellence: Help maintain procurement documentation and ensure compliance with global standards.
* Reporting: Provide regular updates and support reporting tasks for the Co-Head of Corporate Procurement or designated mentor.
Qualifications
* Academic Background: Currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s or Master’s program (Business, Supply Chain, Economics, or related fields).
* Communication Skills: Strong written communication for reports and documentation; comfortable presenting findings to team members.
* Interpersonal Skills: A proactive collaborator with a willingness to engage with colleagues at various levels and incorporate feedback.
* Organizational Talent: Ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize effectively, and maintain a detail-oriented approach to deadlines.
* Analytical Mindset: A curious "problem-solver" attitude with the ability to think creatively when facing obstacles.
* Language Skills: Fluency in English is required; German is a strong advantage.
* Experience: Previous exposure to procurement or supply chain concepts is a plus, but a strong desire to learn is the priority.
