The Brisbane Organising Committee for the 2032 Olympic and Paralympic Games (Brisbane 2032) is responsible for the planning, organising, financing, marketing, and staging of this global spectacle.

About the Role:
Reporting to the Chief Impact Officer, you will be responsible for leading the planning, development, and implementation of the Brisbane 2032 Impact initiatives and key plans and strategies.
The role will work in close collaboration with the International Olympic Committee, International Paralympic Committee, Australian Olympic Committee, Paralympics Australia, and government partners (Federal, State, and local). The role will also collaborate with community organisations and partners relevant to the Sustainability, Impact, and Legacy (SIL) portfolio.
The role is crucial in collaborating with all Brisbane 2032 functional areas to ensure key foundational Impact plans, frameworks, and strategies are embedded in the planning and delivery activities across the organisation.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Lead the planning, development, and implementation of Brisbane 2032 Impact initiatives and dedicated programs.
2. Develop and implement Brisbane 2032’s Reconciliation Action Plans (RAPs), Disability Action Plan, and Human Rights Framework and support the development of the Gender Equality plan.
3. Establish reporting frameworks (including budget and KPIs) to track progress on Games Impact plans and programs, ensuring compliance with the Olympic Host Contract, UN Guiding Principles, OECD Framework, and other international standards.
4. Lead and manage the analysis and benchmarking of research data, including trends at international, national, and state levels, emerging issues, and capability gaps, to demonstrate that Brisbane 2032 is a world leader in positive impact and legacy.
5. Establish and maintain effective, collaborative relationships across the Brisbane 2032 functional area teams, Games Delivery Partners (including all levels of government, AOC, and PA), and the broader community network of stakeholders.
6. Advocate for and raise awareness within Brisbane 2032 about under-represented communities, including First Nations, disability, multicultural, LGBTIQ+, and Oceania communities.
Desired Experience & Competencies:
1. Proven capability in developing and delivering tangible and measurable plans and programs, from planning and development through to implementation and delivery.
2. Understanding of how to navigate Government stakeholders (Federal, State, and Local) and working with organisations that engage regularly with Government will be highly beneficial.
3. Relevant experience and/or existing relationships with a wide range of stakeholder groups including First Nations stakeholders, under-represented groups including the disability, multicultural, LGBTIQ+, and Oceania communities, youth, and grass-roots sport communities.
4. Relevant experience working for and/or with NGO and NFP organisations and industry and advocacy groups including ‘For Purpose’ organisations and experience with events and/or sport organisations will be highly beneficial.
5. Extensive experience in program development and data analysis relevant to establishing programs and initiatives.
6. Proven track record in developing and managing grant programs and financial reporting, including governance.
7. Adept at building and managing positive relationships with large, diverse, and complex stakeholder groups.
8. Understanding of community, social, and economic frameworks.
9. Competent in developing briefs for consultants and managing contracts.
