Minimum qualifications:
* Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
* 5 years of experience managing, sourcing, or procuring business resources and vendors.
* 5 years of experience leading operational or project-based work, and coordinating or managing resources for data center locations.
* Experience managing technical and non-technical groups to drive business outcomes.
* Experience with security technologies, including CCTV, access control, incident management systems, and security operations centers.
Preferred qualifications:
* Bachelor's degree in Criminal Justice or a related field.
* Experience in conducting investigations, including criminal, human resources, and safety incidents.
* Experience in data center and security system elements of design.
* Experience working on active construction sites and providing safety/security countermeasures.
* Experience in security systems or physical security for construction projects.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
About The Job
As a Data Center Security Manager, you will manage security vendors and budgeting for security services. Collaborate with other Google units to implement security policies, investigate violations, and resolve security concerns at the data center. Manage active security incidents, respond to critical events, and liaise with public safety.
Google’s Technical Infrastructure team develops and maintains data centers, supporting our product portfolio. We focus on building reliable, efficient, and secure infrastructure to ensure optimal user experiences.
Responsibilities
* Manage the Compliance, Security, and Risk Management (CSRM) program at the data center, including incident management, guard contracts, and physical security issues.
* Provide after-hours support and participate in crisis management when needed.
* Implement compliance processes aligned with policies, standards, guidelines, and legal requirements.
* Manage security-related costs through budgeting, forecasting, and invoice control, and assist in financial analysis for security needs.
