About the role
As the Credit Risk Manager, you will play a key role in maintaining and enhancing the Bank’s credit and treasury risk management frameworks. This is a 12‑month fixed‑term position. Reporting to the Chief Risk Officer and leading one Risk Analyst, you will provide expert risk oversight, deliver meaningful portfolio insights, and help ensure the Bank continues to operate within its risk appetite while meeting regulatory obligations.
Key responsibilities include
* Contribute to the development, implementation, and ongoing enhancement of credit risk policies, frameworks, strategies, and processes inline with the Bank’s Risk Appetite Statement
* Monitor, analyse and report on credit portfolio performance, identifying emerging trends, risks and opportunities
* Conduct stress testing and scenario analysis to assess portfolio resilience and support informed decision‑making
* Prepare and deliver timely, accurate and insightful risk reporting to senior management, committees and regulators
* Support the implementation of regulatory initiatives and ensure compliance with relevant prudential standards and requirements
* Proactively identify, escalade and support the management of risk appetite breaches, material risks, loss events and framework deviations
* Strengthen the Bank’s risk and control environment through governance reviews, oversight activities and continuous improvement of risk management practices
* Assist the Chief Risk Officer in reviewing and maintaining the Bank’s risk management policies, frameworks and supporting documentation
* Provide leadership, coaching and support to the Risk Analyst to drive capability and performance within the team
All about you
* Tertiary qualifications in Business, Finance, Economics, Commerce or a related discipline
* Proven experience within a financial institution in a credit risk role with exposure to credit policy, portfolio analytics or risk management
* Strong understanding of banking regulations, prudential standards and compliance requirements
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex information clearly and effectively to a range of stakeholders
* Well‑developed analytical, problem‑solving and numerical skills
* Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage competing priorities in a dynamic environment
