Responsibilities

1. Manage day-to-day accounting operations in compliance with Austrian statutory requirements (UGB).

1. Prepare and maintain accurate general ledger entries, accruals, and reconciliations.

1. Support month-end and year-end closing activities, ensuring timely reporting to group headquarters.

1. Prepare VAT returns, statutory filings, and liaise with Austrian tax authorities and external auditors.
*
1. Ensure compliance with Austrian tax, accounting, and corporate regulations.
*
1. Collaborate with group headquarters on financial reports, budgeting, and cash management.
*
1. Assist with payroll-related accounting and liaise with external payroll service providers.
*
1. Support internal control processes and participate in process improvement initiatives.
Qualifications
*
1. Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; professional certification (e.g., CPA, ACCA, Steuerberaterprüfung) is a plus.
*
1. 3+ years of relevant accounting experience, preferably in an international or Austrian/German subsidiary environment.
*
1. Solid knowledge of Austrian GAAP (UGB) and tax regulations; IFRS knowledge is an advantage.
*
1. Proficiency in MS Office (especially Excel); experience with SAP system.
*
1. Strong analytical skills, accuracy, and attention to detail.
*
1. Ability to work independently, while maintaining good communication with headquarters.
*
1. Fluent in German and English, both written and spoken.
