Your Role: Own the Challenge
We are seeking an experienced Marketing and Communications Manager to lead our marketing and communications activities for the Electrification Business Area in Austria. This is a strategic leadership role with direct reports, responsible for developing and executing integrated marketing strategies that drive business growth and strengthen ABB's market position in the Austrian electrification sector.
Develop and implement comprehensive marketing and communications strategies aligned with business objectives for the Electrification Business Area in Austria; collaborate with regional and global marketing teams to leverage best practices and resources; ensure brand consistency and compliance with ABB global guidelines across all communications.
Lead, mentor, and manage a team of marketing and communications professionals; foster professional development and ensure high performance; build and maintain relationships with key media, industry influencers, and stakeholders.
Drive brand positioning and awareness through integrated campaigns across digital, traditional, and event channels; plan and execute trade shows, customer events, and product launches; monitor market trends, competitor activities, and customer insights to inform strategy.
Collaborate closely with sales teams to develop customer‑centric marketing programs that generate leads and support revenue growth; manage marketing budgets with optimal resource allocation; report on marketing performance metrics and campaign effectiveness to senior leadership, including ROI measurement.
What it takes to Run what runs the world
Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Business Administration, or related field; Master's degree preferred
Minimum 7‑10 years of progressive marketing and communications experience, preferably in B2B/B2C industrial or technology sectors
Proven track record in a leadership role with direct reports and team management experience
Demonstrated success in developing and executing integrated marketing strategies
Strong digital marketing expertise including SEO, social media, marketing automation, and analytics
Excellent project management skills with ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
Outstanding communication skills in German and English (C1, written and verbal)
Experience with CRM systems, marketing automation platforms, and analytics tools; results‑oriented and data‑driven mindset

In accordance with the collective agreement for the electrical and electronics industry in Austria, the minimum salary for this position is € 70.000 gross per year (May 2025). There is a clear willingness to offer compensation above the collectively agreed minimum salary, depending on qualifications and experience.
