EIB Trainee – Secretariat General – Planning, Intelligence and Resource Unit – Luxembourg
European Investment Bank (EIB) invites applications for the EIB Trainee position in the Secretariat General – Planning, Intelligence and Resource Unit, based at our Luxembourg headquarters. The traineeship lasts 5 months (fixed start date 1st March/April 2026, with possible extension up to 6 months if required by the university).
This role requires regular office presence and offers the opportunity to work in a truly international and multi‑cultural environment.
Only candidates who are nationals of EU Member States or citizens of official EU candidate countries (Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Georgia, Moldova, Montenegro, North Macedonia, Serbia, Turkey, Ukraine) are eligible. Erasmus+ programme overlap or application beyond the first three submissions will not be considered.
Role
The traineeship provides hands‑on experience in communications technology, project management and media engagement, supporting the EIB Group Communication Department.
Responsibilities
* Support implementation of a communication and engagement coordination and planning tool, including maintenance of procedures, user feedback analysis, data input and training session coordination.
* Assist in upgrading tools and processes for journalist outreach, collecting and analysing data to improve dashboarding and reporting on press activity impact and visibility.
* Provide general administrative support: scheduling meetings, workshops, ad‑hoc research and reporting for decision‑making.
Academic Qualifications & Professional Skills
* Final year of studies or University degree in Communications, Political Science, Economics, International Affairs or a related field.
* Understanding of project‑management methodologies (Agile, Scrum, etc.) is an advantage.
* Proficiency in Microsoft 365 tools, especially Excel and/or Power BI.
* Excellent written and spoken English and/or French. Knowledge of other EU languages is an advantage.
