We are Australia’s most trusted lung health, disease, and cancer charity, dedicated to advocating for and supporting the one in six Australians at risk of or living with lung disease and cancer.This opportunity arises following the retirement of a long-standing highly regarded Deputy Chairperson and Non-Executive Director.Key Responsibilities:Ensure strong governance, strategic oversight, and leadership in alignment with LFA’s mission and values.Contribute to setting and reviewing the strategic direction of the organisation.Monitor financial performance and ensure sustainable resource allocation.Represent Lung Foundation Australia externally, advocating for its mission and building relationships with key stakeholders.Our board is highly effective, mature, and stable. We seek a C-suite leader with demonstrated experience (five years +) in finance, risk management, and strategic leadership. You will use your business acumen, financial expertise and understanding of financial management principles to guide our Mission.Experience on a corporate, government, or profit-for-purpose Board and high-level communication and stakeholder engagement skills are also highly desirable.Qualifications:Tertiary qualification in business, finance, law is a prerequisiteGovernance training or certification (e.g. AICD Company Directors Course) is a prerequisiteYour commitment:Our board meets six times per year face to face in full day or half day meetings in Brisbane, Sydney, or Melbourne.
