About the role

As VP Finance & Accounting, you will own the company’s financial operations, KPI reporting, and investor transparency during our current scale-up phase. This role goes beyond traditional finance and tax responsibilities - it is about helping measure, steer, and control the business.

You will ensure excellence in accounting, financial control, and regulatory compliance while acting as a hands-on strategic finance partner to the CEO, leadership team, and investors. In this capacity, you will build and scale a robust finance function that supports operational decision-making and prepares the company for its next growth milestones.

The preferred location for this role is Austria, with office locations in Innsbruck and Vienna, with flexibility for hybrid work.

What you'll do

Act as a Strategic Finance Partner to the Business:

* Serve as a trusted partner to the CEO and leadership team, supporting budgeting, forecasting, and long-term financial planning to inform strategic decision-making.

* Provide financial insights that guide key business and operational initiatives.

* Ensure accurate, timely, and compliant financial reporting while maintaining full audit readiness.

* Optimize cash flow management and oversee treasury activities, including working capital and funding requirements.

* Build and implement scalable finance processes and systems to support the company’s growth.

* Collaborate cross-functionally to embed financial best practices across the organization.

* Support pricing strategy, growth initiatives, and key commercial decisions.

* Lead, mentor, and develop the finance team while fostering a high-performance and collaborative culture.

Scale Finance Operations with the Business:

* Own the full accounting cycle across multiple legal entities, including AP/AR, general ledger, fixed assets, accruals, and deferrals, ensuring accurate and timely monthly closes.

* Lead statutory and management reporting under IFRS, UGB, and US GAAP, ensuring compliance and audit readiness.

* Maintain a robust internal control environment to support clean balance sheets and regulatory compliance.

* Oversee group accounting, intercompany processes, and multi-currency operations.

* Identify and implement automation opportunities to streamline financial workflows and improve operational efficiency.

* Continuously develop scalable finance processes to support growth, onboarding, and standardization.

Connect the Company with its Investors:

* Own investor and board reporting, including financial and operational KPIs, forecasts, and performance narratives.

* Deliver clear and consistent updates on financial performance, company strategy, and market outlook.

* Ensure accuracy, clarity, and timeliness of all investor communications.

* Align investor expectations with the company’s financial performance and strategic direction.

* Support ad-hoc investor requests while maintaining transparency, credibility, and trust.

We are looking for someone with

* Extensive experience in finance, accounting, or scale-up finance experience, including several years in a leadership role (Director level).

* Experience in SaaS, scale-ups, or other fast-paced environments, where you had the opportunity to build and shape parts of the finance function.

* The ability to cultivate talent, foster growth, and build high-performing teams.

* A strong background in FP&A, accounting, and financial operations, as well as building out reporting and business intelligence systems.

* Strategic thinking combined with a hands-on approach, and being comfortable switching between big-picture strategy and detailed execution.

* Experience in international finance, multi-entity accounting, and compliance.

* Excellent communication skills and the ability to act as a strong partner to cross-functional stakeholders with clarity and impact.

* Experience building and maintaining a modern and efficient finance tech stack, with a strong focus on automation and data integrity.

That said, we’d be particularly delighted to hire someone with

* Passion about technology, innovation, and building sustainable business practices.
* An interest in the coffee industry and the specialty coffee market.
