Ihre neue Herausforderung
- Serve as the primary technical and technical-sales contact for converter-related services (inspection, modernization, process audits, lifecycle management)
- Conduct independent customer visits worldwide, presenting Primetals Technologies solutions and identifying new business opportunities
- Perform on-site services, including mechanical inspections, condition assessments, and converter fitness checks
- Prepare and coordinate technical offers for spare parts, inspections, and modernization projects
- Analyze inspection results and prepare professional technical reports
- Translate customer requirements into technical solutions and service concepts
- Support modernization and upgrade planning, including spare parts and maintenance strategies
- Cooperate closely with internal departments (engineering, sales, purchasing)
- Execute supplier inspections and provide technical supervision during installation and commissioning
- Prepare and deliver presentations and training sessions for internal teams and customers
- Contribute to knowledge sharing and development within the converter services network
Ihre Kompetenzen
- completed higher technical education (HTL/FH/University) in mechanical engineering, mechatronics, or related field
- Several years of practical experience in converter operation, maintenance, or mechanical design – ideally from a steel plant environment
- Proven hands‑on experience and readiness to perform on‑site work (inspection, measurement, supervision, commissioning)
- Strong interest or proven experience in technical sales and customer relations
- Good understanding of mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems
- Basic knowledge of converter process and metallurgical principles advantageous
- Knowledge of AutoCAD, NX (Unigraphics), technical drawings
- Confident use of MS Office
- Very good English skills, written and spoken
- High willingness to travel internationally (approx. 20–30%)
- Proactive, communicative, and solution‑oriented personality
