Our client, a fast-growing European leader in intelligent energy storage and grid flexibility solutions, is looking for an experienced candidate to take on the PLC Engineer role. In this role, you will contribute to the design, development, and implementation of advanced energy systems while helping build the next generation of sustainable and resilient energy infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities development and maintenance of a scalable PLC framework for current and future energy infrastructure projects
programming, configuration, testing, and commissioning of PLC systems, primarily using Beckhoff and Siemens platforms
design, development, and maintenance of scalable SCADA platforms, including HMI interfaces, data management, redundancy concepts, and cybersecurity requirements
troubleshooting and optimization of PLC, SCADA, and industrial communication systems to ensure reliable and secure operations
collaboration with engineering, project delivery, and commercial teams throughout the project lifecycle
technical support during customer discussions, solution design, and project implementation activities
ensuring compliance with industry standards, cybersecurity best practices, and regulatory requirements, including NIS2
providing technical guidance and knowledge sharing on PLC and SCADA technologies across the organization
Requirements completed higher education degree in engineering, technical, or other related fields
experience with PLC programming, SCADA systems, and industrial automation projects
hands-on experience with Beckhoff, Siemens, or similar industrial control platforms
understanding of industrial communication networks, control systems, and system integration
experience with commissioning, troubleshooting, and optimization of automation systems
professional proficiency in English and the ability to work effectively in international teams
proactive mindset, strong problem-solving skills, and a passion for innovative energy technologies
