Jubilee Community Care is a trusted not-for-profit organisation supporting older people to live safely, independently and with dignity in their own homes. Based in Indooroopilly, our team delivers services across Brisbane’s west and north.
We are looking for an experienced People & Capability Manager to lead our HR functions, strengthen our organisational capability, and ensure our dedicated workforce is supported and aligned with our mission. This role is ideal for an HR professional who wants to join a friendly, passionate team and enjoys both strategic work and hands‑on operational delivery.
About the Role
Reporting to the Executive Director, you will lead all areas of Human Resources, people management and compliance. You will play a key role in building a positive, engaging and well-supported workplace culture and ensuring our people practices meet legislative, safety and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead employee engagement and wellbeing initiatives
* Provide trusted HR and employee relations advice to leaders and staff
* Work collaboratively with departmental leaders and the Executive Team to strengthen culture, capability and staff retention
* Develop, review and implement HR and Work Health & Safety (WH&S) policies, procedures and frameworks
* Oversee recruitment, onboarding and workforce planning.
* Manage performance development processes and support capability-building across the organisation
* Ensure compliance with HR legislation, Industry Awards and organisational standards
* Oversee WH&S compliance, incident reporting and return-to-work processes
About You
* Experience in a HR management or leadership role
* Good knowledge of HR legislation, Fair Work requirements and Awards
* Experience in recruitment, performance management and conflict resolution
* Strong communication, relationship‑building and influencing skills
* Tertiary qualifications in Human Resources, Business or a related field
* Experience with WH&S and/or Return-to-Work training
