$128,102 to $134,832 per annum + 12% Super
We are seeking an Assistant Manager to join our team at Ashley Youth Detention Centre (AYDC), Deloraine, Tasmania. In this role you will embody a deep commitment to therapeutic care and trauma informed practice, bringing strong expertise in rights, evidence based, holistic and restorative approaches to supporting young people in detention.
As a key voice within the senior leadership team, you will lead the cultural shift toward embedding trauma informed care as the foundation of daily practice, drawing on complex systems thinking to shape the whole ecosystem of AYDC.
What we are looking for
* Demonstrated experience operating at a management level preferably in secure group care or youth detention settings, providing professional leadership and oversight in services for children and young people,
* Demonstrated advanced theoretical and/or experiential knowledge base in the provision of therapeutic care for children and young people,
* A passion for working with vulnerable young people and model the Department’s values through respectful relationships, integrity, and collaborative leadership,
* Highly skilled in building trust, guiding multidisciplinary teams, and providing high-quality practice supervision, while championing the Therapeutic Community approach,
* Have deep relational capability, and a commitment to creating safe, consistent, and healing centred environments for children and young people.
