Job Description
Lead a team of trainee teachers and help them learn how to teach English to young learners in Austrian schools using our innovative, communicative method Based out of Vienna or Vorchdorf, you will travel to local Austrian schools with a team of trainee teachers and implement our immersive English projects. You will lead, supervise and mentor a small group of trainee teachers and help them work towards completing their CertTESOL and TEFL-YL qualifications.
As a Course Tutor, you'll have the opportunity to be part of a world-class educational organisation. Duties include:
* Report directly to the Director of Studies
* Teach in schools across Austria, implementing our innovative, communicative metho
* Lead a small team of trainee teachers, providing academic and pastoral support
* Conduct formal classroom observations and provide feedback to trainee teachers
* Mark written assignments and course work
* Deliver teacher training input sessions
* Drive between campus and school locations
Qualifications
The ideal candidate will be an English native-level speaker, be qualified at the DELTA/Trinity DipTESOL level, and have experience that demonstrates both a genuine talent for working with children and training new teachers:
* DELTA/Trinity DipTESOL or
* MA TESOL/ELT/PGCE + CELTA/CertTESOL
* Minimum of 3 years teaching experience required
* Minimum of 1 year formal teacher training experience desirable
* Experience providing formal written and verbal feedback based on classroom observations
* Experience using a communicative approach to language teaching
* Experience in a young learner classroom
* Residence and work permit for Europe
* Valid drivers licence and ability to drive in Austria
* Recent DBS check (or equivalent)
