About the Role
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented
Sales Operations Manager
to oversee and coordinate our
renewable fuel sales operations
across
Austria and Germany
, with a strong focus on
supply chain management
.
This role is key in being the bridge between sales and operations, communicating with customers, logistics partners, sales teams, and headquarters in Denmark, ensuring a seamless flow of goods, compliance with regulatory standards, and alignment.
Since Austria and Germany are evolving markets for us, the role will be
hands-on
with a wide range of responsibilities, including customer and price management, supply chain coordination, and supporting transport execution.
Key Responsibilities
Sales Operations & Customer Support
* Support customer management, including order processing, volume forecasting, and delivery follow-up
* Monitor and manage storage numbers and maintain strong relationships with the storage providers
* Define and update local sales pricing internally and towards the customers
* Resolve logistics-related issues and address customer inquiries in a professional and timely manner
Transportation & Logistics Management
* Manage and maintain strong relationships with freight carriers and drivers to ensure efficient and timely shipments
* Develop contingency plans to address transport delays, equipment failures, or capacity shortages. Act as the primary point of contact for resolving logistical issues and addressing client concerns
* Collaborate with the supply team to negotiate contracts and secure favourable terms with service providers.
* Handle documentation, customs papers and prepare official reporting towards authorities, if needed.
Process & System Optimization
* Align and digitalize administrative and sales processes with HQ to ensure adherence to group standards
* Utilize logistics and ERP systems (e.g., Navision / Business Central, TMS) to plan, track, and optimize sales operations activities
* Prepare sales operations reports
Cross-Functional & Supplier Collaboration
* Support the finance team with Accounts Payable and Receivable coordination
* Collaborate closely with the Sustainability & Compliance Manager and act as a backup when needed
Regulatory Compliance & Sustainability
* Engage with authorities and external stakeholders on regulatory matters
Qualifications
Required
* Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or equivalent experience
* 5+ years of experience in logistics or sales operations, preferably in the energy, oil & gas, or renewable fuels industry
* Strong knowledge of sales operations and requirements
* Excellent communication, coordination, and cost-management skills
* Proficient in ERP systems such as Navision / Business Central, and strong Excel skills
* Fluent in German and English, both written and spoken
Preferred
* Familiarity with customs and international freight documentation
* Additional language skills are a plus
