Postdoctoral Position in Automated Chemistry & Machine Learning (m/f/d)

Your Responsibilities
Develop automated chemistry and machine learning approaches to investigate innovative catalytic systems, with a focus on biomass-related areas.
Optimize homogeneous and heterogeneous catalytic processes using high‑throughput experimentation (HTE), machine‑learning/AI‑driven models, and design of experiments (DoE).
Operate and automate reactions on robotic platforms such as ChemSpeed for catalyst screening and reaction optimization.
Write high‑impact scientific publications and collaborate within the Institute of Chemistry and with national and international partners.
Co‑supervise bachelor, master, and PhD students.
Your Profile
Completed doctorate/PhD in chemistry or chemical engineering.
Proven expertise in automated chemistry and AI‑driven chemistry.
Experience in high‑throughput screening and catalyst development with AI.
Solid background in homogeneous and/or heterogeneous catalysis.
Excellent programming skills (Python, R).
Hands‑on experience with ChemSpeed or similar robotic platforms.
Experience applying Green Chemistry principles.
Excellent written and spoken English and strong publication record in high‑impact journals.
Strong communication skills and ability to work independently in a diverse, interdisciplinary team, including mentoring students.
Salary and Benefits
Annual gross salary of €70,200.20 for a full‑time position, with possible overpayment based on qualification and experience.
