Job Description – Senior Legal Counsel (IT Law) (m/f/d)
Location: Graz, Styria
Our client is a globally active industrial group with a strong technological focus and headquarters in Austria. The company designs and implements innovative automation and intralogistics solutions used by leading enterprises worldwide. To strengthen their growing legal department, they are seeking an experienced Senior Legal Counsel (IT Law) to join their office in Graz.
Key Responsibilities
Advise the business on all questions of IT and digital law, including software licensing, cloud, data protection, and cybersecurity.
Draft, review, and negotiate complex IT, SaaS, and service agreements with suppliers and clients.
Support global digital transformation projects and ensure compliance with relevant technology and data regulations.
Provide guidance on IT contract management and assist with dispute resolution related to IT services and systems.
Partner with internal stakeholders across Legal, Procurement, Compliance, and IT Security to ensure consistent legal standards.
Profile
At least 5–8 years of experience in IT or technology law, ideally within an international company or reputable law firm.
Solid knowledge of IT contract law, IP rights in technology environments, and GDPR‐related matters.
Fluent in German and English; additional languages are a plus.
Strong commercial acumen, excellent negotiation skills, and the ability to communicate legal topics clearly to business partners.
