About the job

Join SA Water as a Senior Business Support Officer and play a key role in delivering exceptional administrative, finance, and procurement support to our Customer, Community and Engagement team. In this dynamic role, you’ll manage a variety of tasks including financial reporting, purchase orders, travel and event coordination, and brand asset administration. We’re looking for someone with strong organisational skills, excellent communication, and proven experience in high-level administration. If you thrive in a fast-paced environment, can work autonomously, and enjoy building strong relationships, this is your opportunity to contribute to a team focused on service excellence and community engagement.

This is an ongoing opportunity with part-time hours, (0.6) which can be worked across 3 or 4 days (Mon-Fri), however, must include hours on Mondays and Tuesdays.

About the Person

You’re the kind of person who loves variety in their day and thrives on keeping things organised. With at least three years of high-level admin experience under your belt, you’re confident juggling finance tasks, procurement, and event coordination. You're tech-savvy with MS Office (and maybe even a whiz at Excel), a natural communicator, and someone who can build strong relationships across teams. You’re a positive team player who works well under pressure and takes initiative. If you’re proactive, detail-oriented, and enjoy being the go‑to problem solver, we’d love to have you on our team!

About Customer, Community and Engagement

The Customer, Community and Engagement group drives customer outcomes by delivering exceptional experiences and tailored solutions that grow business, revenue, and the state economy, while actively engaging with communities, and collecting valuable feedback.

In addition, your responsibilities will include:

Fostering trust with our people, customers and community by providing expert advice and service that ensure we effectively communicate and engage audiences with our business strategy and its delivery across South Australia, every day.

You will:

* Provide high level efficient and effective support service to CCE teams (Senior Managers and leadership team) for the overall efficiency of the CCE business group.
* Create and maintain team based spread sheets to ensure accurate financial reporting for each team.
* Create purchase requisitions for CCX and ESR and the business as required.
* Raise purchase orders up to the value of $20k for CCE and any equipment, including event and education materials.
* Credit card transactions/reconciliation.
* Manage all catering requirements and large meeting bookings for the teams.
* Manage travel, training and conference bookings, including some companywide coordination (for major conferences such as Ozwater).

Your success in this role will come from:

* Minimum of 3 years demonstrated experience in providing a high-level administration support service.
* Ability to work autonomously and exhibit a high level of initiative and motivation.
* Excellent communication skills, both verbally and written.
* Ability to maintain a high degree of confidentiality on all work-related matters.
* Proven experience in a range of MS Office computer applications including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and SharePoint.
* Ability to work under pressure to meet tight deadlines.
* Ability to establish strong working relationships.
* Desirable to have experience in Ellipse, corporate travel systems or similar.
