We’re looking for an HR & People Manager to build and own our people function — from recruiting and onboarding to people processes, culture, and team development. With a team of 30 and ambitious growth plans, we need someone who can set up the foundations that let us scale as a company while keeping what makes nyra health a great place to work. You’ll work directly with the founders and shape how we hire, develop, and retain our team.
About the Company
At nyra health, we’re building software that makes a real difference. Our tools help clinics, therapists, and patients in their neurorehabilitation journey. Our products — myReha (therapy app) and nyra insights (web platform for patient management and analysis) — deliver evidence-based, AI-powered neurotherapy at scale.
If that resonates with you, we’d love to hear from you.
What you’ll shape
* End-to-end recruiting: Own the full hiring process — from job postings and sourcing to screening, interviews, and offers — across all functions. Introduce and manage an ATS, build pipelines, and ensure a great candidate experience as we scale from 30 to 50+ people.
* People processes & frameworks: Design and implement the structured people foundations we need to grow — career paths, a compensation & benefits framework and new feedback opportunities
* Onboarding & employee development: Own and improve our onboarding experience so every new hire is set up for success. Build out AI learning & development initiatives and ensure our people grow with the company.
* HR operations & tooling: Set up our HR infrastructure f— select and implement an HRIS, move documentation to a single source of truth, and coordinate payroll with our external provider.
* Culture & employer branding: Drive culture initiatives, team events, and employer branding — including our careers page and external presence. Help shape a culture that is collaborative, transparent, and increasingly performance-driven.
* Founder partnership: Work directly with the founders and Chief of Staff on strategic people decisions — headcount planning, organizational design, and compensation benchmarking — while owning the execution independently.
What sets you up for success
* Senior HR generalist experience: You’ve owned the full people function independently — recruiting, people operations, culture, and employee development — ideally in a startup or scale-up environment.
* Recruiting expertise: You’ve run end-to-end hiring across multiple functions, managed pipelines, and know how to source, screen, and close candidates in a competitive market.
* Process builder: You’ve built HR processes, frameworks, and tools from scratch — not just maintained existing ones. You know what good looks like and can get there pragmatically.
* Tool-savvy: You’re experienced with HRIS and ATS tools and excited about using AI tools to improve your workflows. You’ll be selecting and implementing our core HR tooling.
* Strong communicator: You can work directly with founders, build trust across the team, and handle sensitive topics with the right mix of empathy and clarity.
* Bonus: Experience in digital health or healthcare, familiarity with Austrian/German employment context
Beyond your CV
* Hands-on and pragmatic: You build, implement, and iterate — not just plan. You’re comfortable doing everything from writing a job posting to setting up an HRIS to running a team event.
* Ownership-driven: You see what’s missing and you fix it. You don’t wait for someone to define your to-do list — you define it yourself and get alignment from the founders.
* Trusted and discreet: People trust you with sensitive information. You navigate confidential topics — compensation, performance, personal challenges — with professionalism and care.
* Empathetic but structured: You genuinely care about people, and you channel that into systems and processes that scale. You balance warmth with accountability.
