IT:U is a new technical university in Austria (Linz) dedicated to digital transformation, driven by interdisciplinary research and project-based learning to actively shape this transformation and advance it with a solution-oriented approach.
Your tasks and responsibilities:
* Primary responsibility for the areas of Accounting, Controlling, and Procurement
* Further development of the financial structure and ensuring the financing of the university
* Leadership of a team of approximately 10 employees
* Driving the structuring, automation, and optimization of processes in budgeting, reporting, and forecasting
* Further development of an integrated financial planning including P&L, balance sheet, liquidity, and cash planning
* Responsibility for multi-year planning and annual financial statements
* Support in the digitalization strategy and implementation of systems and AI technologies
* Collaboration with external financial partners (e.g., auditing firms) and acting as an interface to BMBWF, BMF, and the State of Upper Austria
* Reporting to the Ministry of Science and the Ministry of Finance
Your strengths and skills:
* Completed degree in business administration or a comparable qualification with a focus on Finance, Controlling, or Accounting
* Several years of experience in a senior financial position, ideally in a university-related or public sector environment
* Experience in the implementation and development of financial structures
* Proven track record in the optimization, automation, and digitalization of financial processes
* Confident handling of complex stakeholder landscapes
* Fluent in German and English with excellent presentation and communication skills
