About the Job Bridgecom Semiconductors is a growing tech startup specializing in 5G solutions, with locations in Munich and Linz. As a Senior Staff Analog Mixed-Signal Design Engineer at Bridgecom, you will be the technical cornerstone for our high-performance data conversion and analog sub-systems. Your mission is to architect and deliver scalable, power-efficient ADC and DAC solutions that bridge the gap between complex 5G RF front-ends and digital baseband processing. This is a "full-lifecycle" role where you will influence everything from initial system modeling to final post-silicon validation. Your Responsibilities Data Converter Architecture : Lead the evaluation and selection of optimal ADC/DAC topologies (e.g., SAR, Sigma-Delta, Pipeline, or hybrid) based on evolving project requirements for speed, resolution, and power. High-Performance Analog Design: Own the design of critical precision blocks, including high-bandwidth/high-linearity OPAMPs, ultra-low-noise Bandgap References, and integrated filtering solutions. Mixed-Signal Integration: Define and verify the interface between analog and digital domains, including clock distribution, timing alignment, and digital calibration loops. Modeling & Simulation: Develop high-level behavioral models (Verilog-A/MS, SystemVerilog, or MATLAB) to define block-level specifications and perform system-level budget analysis (SNR, SFDR, ENOB). Advanced Verification: Execute rigorous mixed-signal simulations using Siemens/Cadence tooling to ensure robust performance across PVT corners and mismatch. Post-Silicon Characterization: Lead the bench-level debug and characterization of your designs. You will be responsible for conducting measurments, correlating silicon measurements with simulation results and driving issue resolution. Technical Mentorship: Guide layout engineers on mixed-signal best practices, including matching, isolation, and parasitic management in FinFET/FD-SOI nodes. Your Profile Versatile AMS Expert: Deep theoretical and practical knowledge of data converter architectures and discrete-time/continuous-time signal processing. Design for Reliability: Expertise in managing nanometer-scale challenges, including EM/IR drop, device aging, and complex parasitic extraction (PEX). Post-Silicon: Hands-on experience with lab automation (Python-based) and high-speed instrumentation for characterizing high-performance analog IPs. Proficient in Python for the development of automated verification environments and measurement scripts. Experienced in using libraries such as NumPy, SciPy, and Pandas for processing large-scale simulation and lab data. Tool Proficiency: Simulation: Siemens AFS (Advanced Frequency Simulator) / Eldo or Cadence Spectre/Spectre-RF. Mixed-Signal: Siemens Symphony or Cadence AMS Designer. Physical Sign-off: Siemens Calibre (DRC/LVS/PEX). Modeling: MATLAB/Simulink, Verilog-A, or SystemVerilog. Strategic Thinker: Able to structure complex, ambiguous problems into executable work packages and maintain a clear technical "red thread" throughout the design cycle. Education and Experience Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field; Ph.D. is a strong plus. 8–12 years of experience in high-performance Analog Mixed-Signal design with a record of successful tape-outs in advanced process nodes. Proven track record of taking a product from early-stage concept through to high-volume production ramp-up. Our Offer The opportunity to work on next-generation 5G RF semiconductor technologies tailored IoT and automotive markets. A dynamic environment where engineers get the full picture of a product development cycle, not just execute isolated tasks. An inclusive and diverse team in a thriving tech startup setting. Individual growth opportunities in a growth company. Continuous learning through collaboration with senior engineers and hands-on exposure across multiple areas of semiconductor development. Contact Us We are looking forward to receiving your application including your CV and a Cover Letter!
