As Senior Procurement Category Manager, you will lead and manage all aspects of the procurement lifecycle across identified spend categories. Your responsibilities will include:
* Lead category strategy development, spend analysis, market research and implementation of comprehensive category plans
* Analyse supplier agreements, negotiate optimal commercial outcomes, and ensure value delivery
* Prepare and maintain contract specifications and business requirements
* Develop and implement contract management protocols with stakeholders
* Oversee the full purchase-to-pay (P2P) process, ensuring policy compliance and reporting on savings and benefits
* Implement NRMA’s Modern Slavery, RAP, and ESG strategies in supplier engagements
* Lead stakeholder engagement to ensure procurement strategies align with business needs
* Continuously seek opportunities for improvement, simplification, and standardisation across supplier engagements
* Mentor and lead junior team members, supporting their development
What You’ll Bring
* At least 10 years’ procurement experience in a service-based organisation, with primary accountability for tendering, contract management, and end-to-end procurement
* Demonstrated category management expertise in both service and commodity categories, ideally with experience in travel, hospitality, or construction procurement
* Proven leadership skills, with the ability to coach, develop, and manage both self and team performance
* Advanced strategic, commercial, negotiation, and relationship-building skills
* High-level analytical and numerical ability, with experience in multi-million-dollar categories
* Excellent Microsoft Office skills and proficiency in ERP and contract management systems
* (Change management, presentation, facilitation, and financial accounting skills
