The Model Validation unit is responsible for establishing validation methodologies and standards for AI/ML models used across Erste Group, with a specific focus on credit risk (i.e., IRB, IFRS 9, Pillar 2) and operational risk (i.e., AMA).
Its purpose is to critically and independently challenge models used for both regulatory and internal purposes.
Your Tasks
* Gain insight into the activities of the Credit Risk Models & Methods unit, with a focus on quantitative approaches such as credit risk validation, modelling, and ML/AI
* Support the preparation of validation reports for credit risk models and methodologies
* Participate in conducting quantitative and qualitative validation tests, including interpreting the results
Your Background
* Ongoing studies at a University/University of Applied Sciences with a background in Financial Mathematics, Quantitative Finance, Statistics, Physics, or AI/ML
* Strong interest in Credit Risk Management and AI/ML
* Confident in using programming languages such as SAS, R, or Python
* High level of commitment and flexibility
* Team-oriented and enjoy collaborative work
* Good command of English (working proficiency)
