Interior Designer/ Senior Interior Designer
Qualification in Interior Design or Interior Architecture or equivalent experience.

* Liaise and coordinate with various consultants and suppliers to ensure design integrity is upheld.

* High-level verbal and written communication skills delivering clear, relevant information in an engaging and timely manner.
* Efficient preparation of documentation and details, while demonstrating capability and accuracy.
* Attend project meetings with clients and other stakeholders and provide input on technical and design issues where required.
Technical Skills
* Conceptualises design plans and prepares sketches or other visual aids (through both hand and computer‑aided design (CAD), to present designs to the client.
* Carry out Interior sketch design work and space planning analysis.
* Develop designs considering constraints such as building codes and planning ordinances.
* Work across all phases of development and project delivery including Schematic Design, Design Development, Construction Documentation and Construction Administration.
* Internal Materials and Colour selections.
* Production of presentation material.
* Integration of Interior delivery.
* The ability to identify potential problems, evaluate alternatives and provide solutions.
* Apply knowledge and detail specification experience to all furniture, fixtures and equipment (FF&E) aspects.
* Appropriate software skills to meet the requirements of the role.
* Ensure all designs meet industry standards and government regulations.
Strategic and Business Development
* Can identify future work opportunities with new or existing clients.
* Cultivates and maintains strong working relationships with clients, their representatives, consultants and industry bodies.
* Promotes the firm in a positive way within the industry.
* Identifies appropriate industry forum’s, seminars and conferences for attendance.
Finance
* Able to assess project budgets and timeframes against project requirements and objectives.
* Understands and works within project and company budgets and expenditure.
Operations / Risk
* Adheres to DKO’s Code of Conduct and Health and Safety policies and procedures.
* Adheres to DKO’s IMS processes. Ensuring documentation and work practices are compliant with IMS certification.
* Operating within the procedural guidelines of the firm’s management policies and professional practice standards unless otherwise formally authorised.
* Promptly informs Directors of any real/perceived risks or conflicts of interest.
