Cost & Budget Manager – Overview
The Cost & Budget Manager role drives cost efficiency on a global scale by analysing financial data and implementing cost control measures. It requires strong collaboration with cross‑functional teams to foster decision‑making and optimise global spend. This role is ideal for someone passionate about creating value through financial insight within Clinical Development Operations.
Tasks & Responsibilities
* Calculation of budgets for clinical studies in close collaboration with international clinical study teams, including controlling support for operational excellence.
* Processing payments in compliance with internal processes and guidelines, including contract review.
* Continuous monitoring of cost development to ensure transparency and clear financial oversight.
* Cross‑functional collaboration to align financial practices with organisational objectives.
* Calculation of provisions in close coordination with internal and external stakeholders.
Requirements
* Degree in Business Administration or equivalent professional experience in Finance/Controlling/Accounting.
* Skill in MS Office 365; PowerBI is a plus.
* Strong numerical skills, structured and proactive working style, with attention to detail and accountability.
* Excellent communication skills across diverse stakeholder groups.
* Fluent in Business English; German is beneficial.

Remuneration for this position starts at EUR 59,000 gross annual target salary per year (full time). The actual salary package depends on professional experience and qualifications. We will be happy to discuss further details in person.
