Senior Scientist – Bioelectrochemistry (f/m/d) Your Responsibilities:
Contribute to and support the execution of the scientific strategy guiding the development of the company's innovative bioelectrochemical technology
Design and steer research programmes in a rapidly evolving field
Collaborate closely with laboratory and engineering teams to move the technology forward
Maintain a strong scale-up perspective, critically assessing laboratory results for industrial and real-world applicability
Potentially oversee the biological research team, depending on experience
Demonstrated expertise in applied bioelectrochemistry, including a thorough understanding of electrode-microbe interfaces in mixed-culture environments
In-depth knowledge of anaerobic digestion microbiology: methanogenic pathways, community dynamics under electrochemical stimulation, and sources of process instability
ability to critically assess the transferability of laboratory findings

Excellent command of English, written and spoken is essential
Minimum salary of €105,000 gross/year (full-time, Austrian collective agreement – Gewerbe, Handwerk und Dienstleistung); Flexible working hours and remote working options
