Job Summary
We are seeking motivated and physically fit candidates to join our railway operations teams in Austria as Shunter / Shifter. This role involves assembling, moving, and positioning railway wagons within yards while ensuring strict adherence to railway safety regulations.
Key Responsibilities
1. Move, assemble, and position railway wagons within shunting yards
2. Safely couple and uncouple rolling stock
3. Communicate effectively with yard teams and locomotive drivers via radio
4. Assist locomotive drivers during yard operations
5. Identify and report wagon or equipment defects
6. Follow all railway safety rules and operational procedures
Salary: Approx 3000000 INR LPA
Requirements
7. Minimum secondary education
8. Below 40 years
9. Good physical fitness and ability to perform outdoors and physically demanding work
10. Good hearing, neither color blind nor night blind (glasses/contact lenses max. +5 or -8)
11. Driving license B is an advantage (due to the journey to the shunting yards)
