Who's hiring?
Nut Producers Australia (NPA) is one of the country’s leading nut producers - and proudly home to Australia’s largest pistachio processing operation. From orchard to export, we’re hands‑on at every stage, working closely with our growers to ensure top quality, sustainability, and downright deliciousness. With four specialist companies under the NPA banner, we’re proud of what we produce and the people behind it.
Our business is growing and we’re looking for an experienced HR Manager who’s confident, capable, and ready to truly make this role their own. If you’re someone who enjoys partnering with leaders, building capability, and creating practical, people‑focused solutions - this could be your next move.
So, what’s the role?
This is a standalone HR role where you’ll work closely with the CEO and leadership team to lead and deliver the people strategy across the business. It’s hands‑on, varied, and offers the opportunity to shape how HR is delivered in a growing, multi‑site environment.
You’ll be the go‑to for all things people – from coaching leaders and managing employee relations, through to driving initiatives that improve engagement, performance and culture. You’ll also spend time out in the business, building relationships across metro and regional sites and ensuring HR practices are practical, consistent and aligned.
Here’s what a typical week might look like:
* Partnering with the CEO and managers to provide practical HR advice and support
* Coaching leaders on performance management, employee relations, and people leadership
* Managing employee relations matters, including investigations and performance processes
* Regular site visits (including regional travel) to stay connected to the business and workforce
* Leading HR initiatives to improve engagement, retention and organisational effectiveness
* Using HR metrics and insights to identify trends and recommend improvements
* Supporting recruitment processes, onboarding, and best practice interviewing
* Coordinating training and development programs across metro and regional teams
* Managing workers compensation and acting as Return‑to‑Work Coordinator
* Maintaining and improving HR policies, systems and processes (including Dayforce)
* Supporting audit requirements and ensuring compliance with legislation and awards
Enough about us—let’s talk about whether this role is for you!
* Have proven experience in a HR Manager, Business Partner or Senior Advisor role
* Enjoy a hands‑on role where you can influence, coach and support leaders day‑to‑day
* Are confident working autonomously, but love building relationships across a business
* Have strong knowledge of employment legislation and award interpretation
* Bring a practical, solutions‑focused approach to people challenges
* Are comfortable working across multiple sites, including occasional regional travel
* Communicate with confidence and build trust easily with a wide range of stakeholders
* Are organised, proactive and happy to roll up your sleeves when needed
* Have experience in industries such as agriculture, manufacturing, or similar (highly regarded)
What’s in it for you?
* A genuine opportunity to shape and influence the HR function in a growing business
* Direct access to the CEO and leadership team
* A flexible part‑time arrangement (0.6 FTE)
* A collaborative, down‑to‑earth culture
* Varied role with both strategic and operational exposure
* Opportunity to get out into the business and build meaningful relationships
