Summary of Responsibilities
The SDET will design, develop, and maintain automated test frameworks and scripts to ensure the quality and reliability of a new unified API layer for our client’s platform. This role requires strong API test design skills, a passion for quality, and experience with test automation tools and practices.
Key Duties
* Develop and maintain automated test suites for API testing
* Collaborate with developers and the Technical Project Manager to define test strategies and acceptance criteria
* Support the development team in the creation of effective and relevant unit tests.
* Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines
* Analyze test results, identify defects, and drive resolution
* Maintain test documentation and contribute to process improvements
* Perform exploratory and regression testing as needed
* Advocate for quality throughout the software development lifecycle
* Must work UK office hours
Required Skills & Qualifications
* Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience)
* 3+ years of experience in test automation for web applications
* Proficiency in C# for test scripting
* Experience of Automated testing via Playwright and unit tests
* Familiarity with CI/CD tools and processes
* Strong analytical and communication skills
* Experience with Agile methodologies
Preferred/Bonus Qualifications
* Experience with security testing
* Experience of K6 for performance testing
* Knowledge of cloud-based testing environments
* ISTQB or similar certification
