For the Vienna office, we are looking for a Data Engineer (m/f/d). As an engaged and application-oriented data engineer, you will implement state-of-the-art biotech software solutions, concentrating on data repository and collaborative analytics functionalities at mid- to large biotech companies globally.
Your role in our team
* Evaluate customer data infrastructure to identify gaps or redundant data storing
* Establish holistic data gathering strategies for different laboratory equipment to the principle software: PAS‑X Savvy
* Support or assume responsibility for customer‑facing projects for PAS‑X Savvy software implementation to ensure holistic data gathering and exploitation
* Develop data cleaning and contextualization solutions with the customer, focused on bioprocessing domain knowledge, to accelerate future data evaluation
* Support customer when needed via web‑conference, on‑site visit, or temporary remote access to ensure performance and to meet expectations
* Develop data science solutions on request with Python or REST API to interface with the configured PAS‑X Savvy software
Your profile
Mandatory
* HTL / Bachelor’s or Master’s degree or equivalent with a focus on life science, engineering, computer science or mathematics or similar
* Knowledge and experience with Python and SQL
* Proficient Business English
* Team-oriented disposition / comfortable working with an interdisciplinary team (Biotechnologists, Computer Scientists, Statisticians)
* Highly autonomous and results oriented in tight timelines
* Data Science or Bioprocess engineering ambition and would like apply newly developed tools and approaches to the field of biotechnology
Optional knowledge favored
* Biotech domain knowledge preferred (chemical engineering also favored)
