This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for a Senior Fire Suppression Designer. In this role, you will be a key player in designing fire sprinkler systems for various clients nationwide. You will work collaboratively with Professional Engineers in a dynamic team environment, tackling complex design projects and mentoring junior designers. The position allows for innovative designs outside of NFPA standards, and includes opportunities for travel and professional development, focusing on impactful safety measures across diverse projects.
Accountabilities
* Oversee all aspects of system design from concept to final drawings with minimal supervision.
* Perform design verifications and advanced hydraulic calculations for suppression systems.
* Ensure designs comply with applicable codes and client specifications.
* Manage multiple projects simultaneously, including high-profile work.
* Provide guidance and mentoring to junior designers.
* Revise and edit drawings based on QA and client reviews.
* Assist with proposals, client meetings, and coordination with authorities.
Requirements
* 7–10+ years CAD design experience in Architecture, Construction, or MEP.
* Prior experience in Fire Suppression Contracting Design.
* NICET certification Level III or IV preferred.
* Experience with REVIT and BIM preferred.
* High School diploma or GED required; advanced training in Fire Protection preferred.
* Working knowledge of MS Office software.
* Strong verbal, written, and presentation skills.
