Your role at Dynatrace
Our Java Agent is a core part of the Dynatrace Platform for automatic instrumentation of Java applications. Dynatrace OneAgent collects all relevant metrics (including hardware, operating system, and application processes) along 100% of the customers' application-delivery chain. Over 7 million Java Agents are already deployed today, monitoring critical customer applications and platforms.
Your job as an Agent developer is to implement new features, improvements and changes to our Java Agent.

Your role
* Engineering of performance and availability monitoring solutions including design, development and ownership
* Developing primarily with Java with a little C++
* Manipulating Java bytecode
* Being and staying curious on the topic of how software works
* A focus on developing high-performant algorithms and working with latest technologies
* Gaining a deep understanding of Java and its ecosystem
* Analyzing and gaining an understanding of the inner workings of common frameworks through debugging, interrogation and similar
* Close cooperation with local and international engineering teams
What will help you succeed
Experience
* Several years of experience as Senior Java Software Engineer
* Proficient working knowledge of core Java APIs
* Advanced understanding of the Java Virtual Machine on topics including garbage collection, time and memory overhead, bytecode fluency
* The ability to focus on details but keep the mind open for the whole ecosystem
* Team player and eager to learn innovative technologies
Experience with or willingness to learn / research
* Major hyperscaler SDKs including AWS, Azure, Google
* Cyber-security topics
* Third-party / open source libraries, frameworks and applications servers such as Spring, Kafka, Apache, Tomcat and many more
* C++

Compensation and Rewards
* We offer attractive compensation packages and stock purchase options with numerous benefits and advantages.
* Due to legal reasons, we are obliged to disclose the minimum salary for this position, which is EUR56,000 gross per year based on full-time employment. We offer ahigher salaryin line with qualifications and experience.
