Overview
University assistant predoctoral (Short-term finishing Contract) – 4 months, Vienna. The Vienna Doctoral School of Cognition, Behavior and Neuroscience (VDS CoBeNe) offers short-term finishing contracts for PhD candidates in the final phase who have completed their public presentation, signed the doctoral thesis agreement, submitted annual progress reports, and held TAC meetings.
Responsibilities
* The doctoral thesis should be completed and submitted by the end of the employment period.
* At application time, approximately half of the doctoral thesis should be finalized.
* Maintain an excellent study record and provide evidence of relevant academic achievements (conference presentations, publications, etc.).
* Be a member of the VDS CoBeNe.
Requirements and selection criteria
* Dissertation must be sufficiently advanced at the time of application to realistically submit a completed dissertation by the end of the funding period (maximum 4 months).
* Very good academic records (seminars, publications, conference presentations).
* A statement from the supervisor committing to support the finalization phase.
* Compliance with CoBeNe regulations for PhD candidates (Code of Good Practice, FÖP within the first 2 semesters, dissertation agreement, annual reports, TAC meetings).
* Active participation in VDS CoBeNe activities is valued in the selection process.

* Job grading according to the collective bargaining agreement: 48 VwGr. B1 Grundstufe (praedoc) with relevant work experience affecting the salary grade.
