Global Category Manager (f/m/x) - Remote‑first
Location: Salzburg, AT, 5020

Tasks
Develop and implement global category strategies aligned with business objectives
Analyze spend, market trends, and supply risks on a global level
Define and execute sourcing strategies (e.g. make‑or‑buy, single vs. multi‑sourcing)
Lead global supplier selection, negotiations, and contract management
Drive cost savings, value creation, and total cost of ownership (TCO) improvements
Collaborate with regional/local procurement teams to align global and local needs
Identify and mitigate supply chain risks (e.g. geopolitical, financial, capacity risks)
Support innovation and sustainability initiatives with key suppliers
Ensure compliance with internal policies, ethical standards, and regulatory requirements
Lead or contribute to global procurement projects and transformation initiatives
Provide category insights and reporting to senior management and stakeholders
Willingness to travel of approx. 10–20%
Your Profile
University Degree in business or economics
Minimum of 6–8 years of professional experience in international procurement (raw materials)
Results-oriented with a strong ownership mindset
Structured, proactive, and solution-oriented working style
Continuous improvement and learning mindset
Strong skills in Excel, BI tools, and ERP systems (e.g. SAP)
Ability to lead global category initiatives without direct authority
Excellent negotiation skills at senior level
Experience with global sourcing and supplier consolidation
Fluent spoken and written English skills (global working environment)

The minimum gross salary for this position is € 3.236,14 per month on a full‑time basis. We offer a compensation package that significantly reflects your skills and experience.
