Your Mission
You’ll lead the Core Infrastructure team, owning the systems that power real‑time trading and secure data management. You’ll grow a high‑performing team of over 400 engineers, define technical direction, and ensure reliability and scalability for millions of users.
What You’ll Do
* Lead, mentor, and grow a high‑performing engineering team that provides infrastructure services to over 400 engineers.
* Shape the team’s technical direction, balancing cloud‑native infrastructure evolution (AWS, EKS, Terraform, Kafka).
* Ensure high infrastructure availability and resilience (24/7) for the best possible developer and user experience at Bitpanda.
* Collaborate cross‑functionally with security, engineering leaders, product stakeholders, and business teams to align priorities.
* Champion best practices in Infrastructure‑as‑Code, DevSecOps, CI/CD, and automation across the organisation.
Who You Are
* Proven background in technical leadership, including hands‑on & off involvement in developing digital products, designing service architectures, and working iteratively in agile environments.
* A confident and empathetic leader with experience managing and scaling engineering teams.
* Skilled in creating clarity and direction in ambiguous, fast‑paced environments with competing and shifting priorities.
* Technically fluent in cloud infrastructure and modern DevOps practices.
* Strong commitment to team development, with experience conducting performance reviews, setting growth paths, and fostering a culture of feedback and improvement.
