Have you already gained several years of professional experience in surface technology, and are you up to date with coating processes and their associated process materials? Would you like to oversee the coating systems at our European production sites, approve suppliers, and share your expertise in surface technology?

As a Surface Technician, you will be the focal point for surface-related issues within the Palfinger Group, using your specialist knowledge to advise our departments. For instance, you will evaluate the feasibility of special colors and approve them for customer orders, audit suppliers, document, and publish surface-related processes. Additionally, you will have the opportunity to visit our sites, where you can get to know colleagues, products, and the unique aspects of our companies firsthand.
Your Responsibilities
* Support and auditing of facilities and suppliers in the field of surface technology, including reviewing painting processes and compliance with requirements, as well as supplier audits and approvals
* Evaluation of the feasibility of custom colors during the customer inquiry process and the compatibility analysis of working materials in the painting process
* Creation and maintenance of technical overviews of internal systems, status reports on suppliers and coating technologies, and documentation of special colors
* Optimization of existing coating systems and processes, as well as research and testing of new coating processes and materials
* Consideration and improvement of environmentally friendly and sustainable technologies and processes
Your Qualifications
* Completed training in surface technology, process engineering, materials engineering, or mechanical engineering
* Experience as Project Manager - experience in managing projects
* Knowledge of common coating processes on metallic substrates is an advantage
* Good English and German skills and proficient use of common office applications
* Strong team and communication skills, a structured and independent working style, and willingness to travel (up to 30%)

Minimum yearly gross salary according to Austrian metal industry collective agreement is EUR 52.197,04 based on full-time employment. According to experience and qualification, we offer a market-conform overpayment.
