Job Responsibilities
The Total Rewards Sr. Expert is responsible for designing, implementing, and continuously improving competitive and equitable compensation and benefits programs in line with Magna’s Total Rewards philosophy to support the organization’s business strategy, talent agenda, and financial goals. The role ensures regulatory compliance and alignment with company values while enabling attraction, retention, and motivation of employees.
* Ensure compensation structures including salary frameworks, job grading, and pay bands are consistently implemented and applied across Magna Powertrain
* Lead annual compensation processes such as salary and grading reviews, bonus cycles, and incentive payments
* Ensure internal equity and external competitiveness through robust market benchmarking and develop compensation policies, principles, and governance frameworks
* Advise, collaborate and support regional compensation specialists, leaders and HR Business partners and strongly collaborate with HR analytics and Talent Management; act as a trusted advisor to senior leaders and key stakeholders
* Support the design and evolution of total rewards offerings including incentives, benefits, and recognition programs
* Improve Magna Powertrain’s Bonus process aligned with performance and business outcomes
* Ensure compliance with labor laws, pay equity, and regulatory requirements while maintaining accurate Workday data by applying job grading frameworks and Mercer IPE methodologies
* Partner closely with Total Rewards CoE from Magna Corporate and peers from other Magna Groups
* Collaborate strongly with auditors, legal teams, and finance partners to support compensation reporting and audit readiness

Your Preferred Qualifications
* University degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Finance, Economics, or a related field
* 5–8+ years of experience in the field of total rewards, preferably in a multinational environment
* Strong expertise in compensation structures, job evaluation, and market pricing
* Language skills (very good knowledge of English)
* Workday experience is an advantage
What You Can Look Forward To
It is important to us to offer a fair and attractive remuneration package. The gross monthly salary for 38.5 hours according to the collective agreement for the automotive industry is at least €82,000 gross per year for this position. Overpayment based on relevant experience and qualifications is common practice.
