As a Senior Staff Engineer Analog/RF Design Methodology on our Research & Development team, you will merge creativity with technical expertise to shape the future of technology, drive groundbreaking projects, and bring new ideas to life.
Your Role
Your focus is on developing and supporting tools, methodologies, and design flows for RF/mmW codesign, anticipating internal hardware design needs, implementing enhancements, sharing knowledge with the worldwide codesign community, and collaborating with external EDA vendors.
Key Responsibilities
* Develop and support tools, methodologies and design flows for RF/mmW Codesign
* Anticipate the needs of internal hardware design projects to ensure best‑in‑class methodologies for RF module design
* Trigger and track implementation of enhancements of the design flows to ensure on‑time availability for productive usage
* Share knowledge and work closely together with the worldwide Codesign community
* Further improve existing software modules; including testing, refactoring and maintenance of our in‑house addons
* Collaborate with and drive external EDA vendors to meet Infineon´s specific needs

Qualifications and Skills
* A degree in Electrical Engineering, Physics or similar
* Minimum 5 years of working experience in RF/mmW design and use of electromagnetic simulation tools (e.g. Keysight, Cadence, Synopsys)
* Good understanding of RF system design across chip, package and board
* Expertise in Unix/Linux and compute farm environments
* Basic scripting skills (e.g. Python, Perl) and exposure to EDA application languages (Keysight AEL or Cadence Skill)
* A customer‑oriented mindset with the ambition to solve technical problems for internal customers
* Fluent English skills, German skills are a big plus

The employment is in accordance with the collective salary and wage agreement for employees of the electrical and electronics industry, employment group H. The monthly salary is paid 14 times p.a., with higher compensation depending on your expertise and skills.
